Corroboree Bird Tour

2025-2027 Tours

Join former park rangers and experienced wildlife photographers in a dedicated bird-watching boat. In the cool of early morning, explore remote, little-visited reaches of Corroboree Billabong with its extraordinary numbers of wetland birds, raptors and crocodiles. Then we’ll drive through distinctive outback habitats along the rugged Marrakai track, a now little-used route that was the original track to the Kakadu region

Learn about our region’s rich cultural traditions, stories and resource use on our small-group birding tour through diverse Top End landscapes, by birdwatching boat and 4WD vehicle. Take home images you’ll cherish and memories you’ll never forget.

We spent a wonderful day with Northern Territory Bird Tours, with Greg and Kyffin. Darwin itself (versus a long drive outside) has plenty of parks and open spaces, full of amazing bird life, and even resident wallabies! This tour was the highlight of our stay in Darwin!

We couldn’t be happier that we chose Northern Territory Bird Tours (also known as Indigenous Tours) for our first trip to Australia! As nature photographers, we were eager to focus on wildlife, especially birds, and we were lucky to have Greg as our guide. Not only is he an experienced photographer himself, but he also knows exactly how to tailor the trip for photography enthusiasts.Greg’s years of experience as a national park ranger made us feel completely safe while exploring the wild, and his deep knowledge of the land made the whole experience even richer. Plus, he brewed the best coffee right in the middle of the bush ????On top of all that, Greg is simply a great person to be around—warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. Thanks to him, our trip was unforgettable, and we highly recommend Northern Territory Bird Tours to anyone looking for an incredible nature experience.

Enjoyable tour of many bird sites around much of Darwin where we saw large variety in different habitats. Friendly guide who knows the areas well and included good lunch overlooking beach by Life saving club
